Women & Girls in the Himalayas and Myanmar

We are at a pivotal time in our society where we understand that women leadership is the key for our world to thrive. During my travel in remote areas of the Himalayas, I have met many women who did hard physical labor, were married at a very young age and were illiterate. However, girls who receive an education are not victim from human trafficking, marry later, have less children and send their children to school. They are also change-makers in their communities, becoming teachers, nurses, business owners, doctors and leaders. Here are some young women and adults, whom I have had the privilege to meet.
