I have hiked many times in the grand Canyon. In June 2022, I had the opportunity to join a rafting trip for the full 277 miles. The closeness with the Colorado river towered by a mile of cliffs made me feel so connected with the amazing forces of Nature which have shaped the canyon and continue to do so. Yet, seemingly so strong, the Grand Canyon is very vulnerable to the human impact. It needs our respect and protection.
