In 1950, Maurice Herzog and the French Team were the first humans to scale an 8000m peak. ( 26,248 feet) At the time, they did not have precise maps. They explored the area in order to find their way and to decide which peak to climb. This trek followed some of their footsteps.
Starting on the lower villages on the route of the Grand Tour of the Annapurnas, we then explored Tilicho lake, the Hidden Valley and the French Pass. It was an off the beaten path trek that traversed five passes above 17000 feet.
